REALIZING FAITH
Prepared to give an answer … with gentleness and respect

The goal of the REALIZING FAITH Seminar is to provide each individual believer the training and tools necessary to successfully fulfill Peter’s admonition to the believer -

“But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander”
(1 Peter 3:15-16)

The REALIZING FAITH Seminar teaches how an individual’s belief system is a product of their individual values hierarchy. The completion of a computerized Values Assessment allows for the discovery of a person’s values hierarchy – the “why” of their behaviours and beliefs. We then connect these motivators to all issues of life including issues of faith, biblical interpretation, and interdenominational church distinctives.

This provides a very personal and practical foundation for discussing issues of faith and religious practice.

1 Day Workshop “Module 1” – Lower Mainland of BC, Delta Church, October 26, 2011.

The workshops are designed to offer personal feedback and provide participants with the skills to understand how personal values shape belief systems and the tools to identify and communicate with those values in conversation.  The method is dynamic and adaptable to any denominational position or leadership context.

Participants will become aware of their personal values hierarchy and how what they value has shaped their understanding of God, Christian mission, and Bible Interpretation.  Participants will immediately begin to practice hearing the values of other believers as they work in assigned small groups throughout the seminar.  The practical application of several academic theories will enhance understanding of the interpretive methods at work within their ministries and provide them with the necessary tools and skills to effectively lead their congregants/students.”
